Colmar and the Alsace "Les Vosges" Wine Route

Colmar is the largest town along the Alsace Wine Route.  Gina saw a picture of Colmar on the internet, and was determined to stop here.  It was a much larger town than we expected, and finding the quaint part of town was more difficult than we imagined.

We originally planned to have an early dinner here, but by the time we got here, we did not have enough daylight left to see the rest of the wine route.  So we decided to walk around a bit, and take some pictures, and continue on our way.  It was as picturesque as it looks, and definitely a place we would like to come back to some day.

After Colmar we continued on the wine route.  All of the towns along the way were beautiful.  We stopped to take some photos of two small towns . . . Riquewhir and Ribeauville.  Here are some photos and videos.  It was dusk, and the photos and videos don't really do justice to how pretty it really was.  We would definitely recommend this, and will return when we have more time.  I don't think either of us knew how prominent wine is in this region.
