Gecko's Cape May

Everything that we have eaten at Gecko's has seemed extremely fresh.

The chips and salsa have a homemade taste (in the best sense of that). My wife has gotten the 3 Sisters Quesadilla on multiple occasions, and has enjoyed it immensely each time. She thinks the roasted corn is the secret to its taste.

I have tried a couple of different items and have found them to be of a very high quality. The tostada I had today was very flavorful, and the skirt steak that it was served with was cooked appropriately. It contained many different ingredients that fit very well together.

One of the ways that I evaluate a restaurant is how I feel after the meal is over. Even though the portions at Gecko's are rather large, I do not feel bloated after eating there. To me that is a sign of a place that serves food with fresh ingredients that are made to order.

We enjoy the casual atmosphere there, and like the fact that the servers tell us to choose our own seats. Somehow it lends to the relaxed atmosphere that one feels in a beach town.
